Reliquy for 7e Wound Chart

The Wound Chart of 8e is a major shift that has had a long and pronounced effect on Warhammer 40k. The biggest shift between 8e and 7e has to be hordes. Hordes were very rate in 7e excepting when armies were given loads of free points.

Some have argued that the supremecy of Knights is why hordes are so common -- Knights are inefficient at killing Hordes. But even before the Knight Codex dropped, Hordes were strong.

The biggest factor is easily the To Wound chart of 8e. Look at this chart I downloaded off google images.
Quoting myself off of a message board:
More about T5 -- It's an artifact of 8th edition, that a lasgun and a bolter are the exact same when shooting at T5. And after Adepticon 2019, I fully expect Chaos armies to double down on their T5 options.
so that means if you're fighting T5 and had to pick between bolters and lasguns, you'd want lasguns because you get 3 of them for every bolter.
7th edition was a lot less kind to Str 3 weapons; in 7e and prior, it took a 6+ to wound a T5 models with a Str3 gun. The change to the wound chart has to be the single biggest reason cheap chafe units have been really strong in 8e

The Beta Bolter rule is a step in the right direction, but it doesn't do enough. It should apply to all Space Marines, and be irrespective of movement. I don't enjoy having to keep my army unmoved in order to shoot with reasonable efficiency.
